Fancy of having a five Star sleeping experience, but only paying for a one star hotel price? If the answer is yes, then Tune Hotel is the place. Savvy travellers who spend the whole day exploring, and only back at their hotel for a clean, comfortable, safe environment, and a decent night sleep will find Tune Hotel very pleasing indeed, and it does not burn a hole in their pockets.
How Tune Hotel keeps its price low is by getting rid of the full service, an extra which sometime guests don't need. Room can be as low as RM 9.99, if guest books in advance.
The room at Tune Hotel looks a bit like the striped down version of a five star hotel's room. Facilities included are a high quality King Koil spring mattress beds with pillows, and a 250-thread count duvets. Next to the bedroom is a bathroom with hot water power showers, bath mats, and toilet roll. A ceiling fan and wall mounted table with power socket are also provided.
Daily housekeeping is on hand at no extra cost. Each room comes with intelligent RFID key cards and in-room safe for added security. CCTV cameras are fixed throughout the hotel and security guards are on patrol twenty four hours around the building.
Add-ons are option where by guests only pay for what they use. Some of these add-ons are Air Conditioning, LCD TV, WiFi, and Towel Rental. For example: 5 hours of air conditioning will cost RM 4.99, and 12 hours of air conditioning will only cost RM 9.99. Tune Hotel is still improving on its range of add-ons, do ask the front desk on the latest items.
About 7 km from Kota Kinabalu city and along Jalan Sulaman, Tune Hotel is located at the front entrance of 1Borneo Hypermall, the biggest shopping centre in Sabah. Tune hotel is also easily recognised with it's red and white curvy stripes on the hotel exteriors.
With 165 rooms to service its guests, Kota Kinabalu Tune Hotel which opened in late April, 2008 is already very popular with travellers. Some rooms at Tune Hotel do have great view of Mt. Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Malaysia. Shuttle Buses to Terminal 2 can be arranged in advance.
