Without a doubt, Secret Recipe is the most successful local restaurant in Malaysia. To date it has well over 100 oulets in various parts of Malaysia. In Kota Kinabalu alone there are three outlets. Other than Malaysia, Secret Recipe can also be found in six other cities in the Asia Pacific region. These cities include Bangkok, Jakarta, Karachi, Manila, Singapore, and Shanghai. Over the years many newspapers and magazines sang praises and gave good reviews on Secret Recipe. Here are some of them: “Successfully captured the hearts of many Malaysians.”- The Edge, “Tempted to order all the cakes you see in Secret Recipe.” – Singapore Press Holding, “Highly recommended as the best cheese cake in Kuala Lumpur.” – BK Bangkok Magazine and “Noted for their fine cheese cakes.” – Star Metro. Secret Recipe sells tons of cakes every day. The most popular and yummy cake is the cheese cakes. As many as 12 different types of cheese cakes are available at Secret Recipe. Just to list a few of them here: blueberry cheese, chocolate cheese, lemon cheese, raspberry cheese and oreo cheese. Browse through the cheese cakes corner, not only do they look delicious, but also tempting and you want to have them all. One needs to exercise some self discipline here. Other than cheese cakes there are black forest, chocolate moist, mango delight, fresh cream cake, and tiramisu. All are delicious. With so many cakes, some people are starting to count calories, worry not, just remember to put in another 10 minutes or so in your next jogging session.

Other items on the menu include western platters and some local delights. Lasagna, Spaghetti, fish & chips, burger, grilled chicken, salad and soup are items from the western section. The Irish Lamb Stew is worth a try as this dish won an award in 2001 for Secret Recipe. In the local delights section dishes like curry laksa, fried rice, tom yum, and beef noodle are available. As for drinks there are well over 30 different types to choose from. Cappuccino, fruit juices, smoothies, soft-drinks and iced blended are just some of the drinks. For dessert Ice cream is served. The interior has a modern and sleeky look to it.
Price starts at about RM 15 per person minimum and cakes price ranging from RM 6.50 to RM 7 per slice.
Cosy sofas, tables and chairs with good design allow customers to feel comfortable in an enjoyable atmosphere.
