Can anyone help me, please? My wife and I from the UK will be visiting KK in October this year, and would be grateful if someone could advise whether it is possible to hire mopeds to travel around KK and beyond? If so, who would I hire from and how can I get in touch?

No mopeds in KK. If you don’t want to rely on public transportation, best way is to get hold of a local who will gladly show you around town and beyond. Maybe you may want to consider the homestay program?
