About 3 km away from the Kundasang – Ranau main road, and nestled high on a hill which is sandwiched between two valleys, one being Samathan valley and the other one is at the foothill of Mt. Kinabalu, Celyn Resort has a peaceful, serene and natural setting atmosphere. Temperature is around 18° to 20° C during the night time. Guests will get to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the surrounding areas without sacrificing the comfort of the city lifestyle.

Kinabalu Wing and Valley Wing
32 comfortable rooms with unique architecture and with it’s own breathtaking view is what made Celyn Resort so special. There are 12 rooms at Valley Wing and 20 rooms at Kinabalu Wing. These rooms have either a queen size bed or double beds, with deluxe quality beddings. All rooms come with attached bathrooms with hot shower facility. TV with Astro Channels is provided free of charge. On the balcony two garden chairs and a coffee table allow guests to enjoy the cool air at the resort and the view beyond. All the Kinabalu Wing units have a spectacular view of Mt. Kinabalu, especially in the early morning and late afternoon. The Valley Wing on the other hand has a view that looks out to the Samathan Valley and Kampung Kinoundusan.

The Villa (Chalet)
Higher up on the hill is the very cozy and posh Villas, 4 units in total. These villa is great for family gatherings or groups of friends to celebrate important functions or just to chill out. The Villa consists of a living room, kitchen with dining table, two bedrooms, and two washrooms. More beds can be added on request. The balcony has a super view of the Majestic Mt. Kinabalu, while a small garden with a variety of flowers and plants located just below the balcony to feast your eyes.

Family Room
The family room (2 units) below the reception office comes with a queen size bed and a single bed, it also has an attached bathroom complete with hot shower. A two seater-sofa and a single seater-sofa are provided for the comfort of the guests and TV is also provided as a standard item.

The Bunga Raya Coffee House serves Asian and Western Cuisines. The indoor dining cafe also has selected wines for guests who like to enjoy some luxury drinks. The Horizon, an outdoor dining area, is just great for barbecue and has a great view of the Samathan Valley.

Markisah Ballroom is an International Standard Meeting room, as the name suggests it can also be a ballroom for dancing. And it is located just at the entrance to the reception office. This “Theatre Style” ballroom has a sitting capacity of 250 persons. This place can also be used for seminar, business function and company annual get together.

For leisure: go for a nature walk along the many small trails around the resort. Flowers and plants are aplenty along these trails while the trees are mostly grown naturally. The hills also provide a good view of Mt. Kinabalu and the valleys below. A good place to relax and rejuvenate one’s mind and body.

How to get there? Travel from Kota Kinabalu to Kundasang Town, a total of about 100 kms takes about 1.5hrs. From Kundasang Town and moving on for another 9kms along Ranau road, then turn into a left hand junction, not far from BCCM Camp, that leads up a small hill. This junction is 13km if travel from Ranau to Kundasang. Celyn Resort is just 3km from the junction, the last 3km is mostly on gravel road.
