Nexus Resort Karambunai

Some Say it's Heaven.....

nr-beach1.JPG

Nexus Resort Karambunai has 6 km of pristine white sandy beaches merging with the south china sea, and a secondary forest and hills running along its golf course, one does want to believe this is Heaven. Located some 30 minutes away from Kota Kinabalu City, Nexus Resort Karambunai has a very relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Since Nexus Resort Karambunai is away from the city, cars and people are scarce here, and with its long stretch of beach, sometimes you can have the whole beach to yourself.

Jacs Besthings

Jacs Besthings, a corner shop, is located at Block D of Damai Commerial Centre. Another way of locating Jacs Besthings is looked out for the 88 lottery shop, which is opposite to the Damai Post Office. 88 lottery shop is on the same block with Jacs Besthings, only that Jacs Besthings is at the other end.
Author's Note: this kopitiam has closed down, and I miss their pork mixed noodle

Royal China Restaurant is one of the few restaurants that has 5-star hotel rating in Kota Kinabalu. With air-condition setting, private rooms, and a posh interior design, this restaurant does bring a new experience for us KKlites. Located at the second floor of D Junction, Jalan Penampang, Royal China Restaurant, serves delicious Dim Sum and Chinese cuisine. It has a hall big enough for wedding party and a few smaller rooms for private function. With the height of second floor, Royal China Restaurant has a good view on the surrounding area.

Kedai Kopi Loi Hin

ngau chap with noodle soup

“Ngau Chap”, which consists of beef ball, briskets and mixed cow parts, is my favourite breakfast. “Ngau Chap” literally translates from Chinese to “cow mixed”. One finds all sort of cow parts in a “Ngau Chap” meal, beef balls, cow intestine, cow tongue, even cow ligament is on offer.

Since I was a young boy, I have heard of this popular "Ngau Chap" kopitiam from Donggongon, Penampang. In the old day one would need to drive through narrow and winding road for about 45 minutes to go from KK to Donggongon, but today with the new highway, travel time has been cut down from 45 minutes to a mere 20 minutes.
