Tossing Yee Sang with family and friends is one of the Chinese New Year traditions. The Chinese believes that the higher you toss, the more prosperous you will be. This Chinese New Year season Sushi King has its Prosperous Yee Sang Special available from the 10 th January until the 10 th February. Ingredients used to make the Prosperous Yee Sang are fresh salmon, fresh scallop, fresh vegetables and the crispy tenpura fritters. The big Prosperous Yee Sang Special platter can serve 4 - 6 persons and is priced at RM 38. The smaller single platter Prosperous Yee Sang is also available and it can be picked up on the revolving conveyor belt.

Sushi King

For the last two decades, the population in Kota Kinabalu has experience a tremendous growth, and as well as becoming a more cosmopolitan city. With the increase in population naturally there are more mouths to feed. Many new restaurants with various different cuisines have since mushroom up around the city, and Japanese cuisine is one of them. Sushi King, one of the most popular Japanese Restaurants in Malaysia, has about 50 outlets scattered around the cities in Malaysia. At the moment Kota Kinabalu has two Sushi King outlets, one is located at 1Borneo Hypermall and the other one is at City Mall, both of these are also the newest shopping centre in KK.

Michi Japanese Restaurant

More and more Japanese Restaurants are opening up for business in Kota Kinabalu. At the concourse floor in 1Borneo Hypermall, two new Japanese Restaurants, Michi and Sushi King, have just opened their doors, giving KK Lites more choices when come to Japanese cuisines.

From the outside Michi has a simple deco, with black and brown long wooden panels in vertical rows and two glass windows about 10 feet wide on each side of the wall. The entrance is a narrow hall way. On one side is a glass cabinet decorated with many Japanese wines, Saki. And on the other side is a partition with vertical black wooded panels in between space. A simple white butterfly on top of the entrance is Michi’s logo.
