Kinabalu Park Accommodation

Surrounded by temperate forests and situated at an altitude around 6,000 feet (1,829 meter) above sea level, the accommodation facilities inside the Kinabalu Park are some of the best that one can find at this holiday resort. These accommodations consist of chalets, cabins, as well as dormitories. Guests who stay at the park also have easy access to the other park facilities like restaurants, exhibition centre, nature trails and the botanic garden. Lately bird watching is also a popular activity at the park.

Sutera Sanctuary Lodges 2009

The place to book an overnight stay on Mount Kinabalu, Mesilau resort, and Manukan Island.Located at the ground floor of Wisma Sabah, Sutera Sanctuary Lodges manages many of the accommodations, like chalets, lodges, hostel, and resthouse, for Sabah Parks. Places that come under the management of Sutera Sanctuary Lodges are Kinabalu Park, Laban Rata Resthouse, Mesilau Nature Resorts,Poring Hot Spring, and Manukan Island Resort.

Climbers who wish to climb Mt. Kinabalu, must secure a bed at any of the following resthouses: Laban Rata Resthouse, Gunting Lagadan Hut, Waras Hut, or Panar Laban Hut. Permit to climb Mt. Kinabalu will only be issued by Sabah Park when one has secured a bed on the day of climb. These places are heavily booked throughout the year, it is advicible to book six months ahead to avoid any disappointment.
