Sabah – one of 13 states of Malaysia, second largest in the country, is located on the northern part of the island of Borneo. The state is famous for its tourism, particular eco-tourism and is often referred to as “Land below the Wind”. If you’re on a holiday here, here are some activities you should not miss on.
Going around all the islands and enjoy the beauty of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park with the Island Hopping package.
A nice tropical island for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving.
The west coast of Sabah is blessed with many beautiful beaches, while the popular ones have made it to the travelling books, there are still many beaches yet to be covered by the mass media. One of these less visit beaches, even by the local standard, is Melinsung Beach, which lies 28 km south of Kota Kinablu, and only 8 km away from Papar town. This 3 km long sandy beach is connected to a shallow sea bed and is constantly washed up by the gentle waves from the South China Sea. The tall Pine trees along the beach seem to go on forever, creating a great perspective view, and some drift woods scattered along the beach giving it a more rusty look. On a clear day when the big blue sky open up ones are easily enchanted by the beauty that nature provides. The unobstructed horizon also offers an unforgettable sunset view. Melinsung Beach is a much sort after addition, for those who prefer a serene, quiet, and peaceful beach.
A very popular island escape from Kota Kinabalu City.
