Kipandi Butterfly Park
Talk about rare butteflies, beetles and orchids, why not pay a visit to Kipandi Butterfly Park. Located just 36 km away from Kota Kinabalu, about 40 minutes by car, this is the nearest butterfly parks in the region. On the way to Kipandi Butterfly Park at Kampung Moyog via the Penampang-Tambunan road visitors will be treated with a scenic view of the Crocker Range where lush green forests and rolling hills are the common sight. At the entrance of Kipandi Butterfly Park, at an altitude of 700 metres, vistors are greeted by the cool air from the Crocker Range. The Kipandi Butterfly Park consists of three sections: the butterfly enclosure, the flora garden and the insectarium. A friendly ranger will also be provided to help visitors to spot and name the various rare butterflies and plants.
