The location of Mount Kinabalu Holiday Home is situated almost at the boundary of Kinabalu National Park. This holiday home is not very far from the Timpohok Hut, which is the starting point for the climbers. About 260 degree of Mount Kinabalu holiday home is surrounded by green forest hills, and has Mt. Kinabalu as the back drop. The front part of the holiday home has a great view that looks out to the Kiau Valley, passing many rolling hills before reaching the horizon, which is the South China Sea. This place also offers great privacy, as it is hidden away from the public eyes. Only a small 300 metre road, which turn in and up over a small hill from the main road, will lead you to this quiet and serene holiday home. At times this place seems like paradise in a lost world.

Just 500 metres away from the entrance of Kinabalu Park Headquarters, D’Villa Rina Ria Lodge is the nearest lodge outside Kinabalu Park, and with rooms price three times lower than those chalets and lodges inside Kinabalu Park. This is good enough reason to attract visitors. D’Villa Rina Ria Lodge was built in the year 1992, and it is also one of the first lodges to be built around Kinabalu National Park. Kinabalu National Park became a World Heritage site in 2000, and is also the first World Heritage site in Malaysia. In August 2008 a new management has taken over the day to day running of D’Villa Rina Ria Lodge. Since then the lodge has been refurnished, up graded and repainted. One of the improved results is that guests will be greeted with the many sweet colours of the new paint work.
